NEW PRICING!!

Hello everyone! I am excited to share what this season of my life has been like with photography. I have been spending a lot of time seeking out the Lord, and just sitting at his feet. It's been such a blessing and has been something that I cherish more than anything else. I love photography, it's definitely something the Lord gave me a heart for and knew that it would be a tool that would bring my creative side to life! This season has been pretty slow in terms of photography; however, it's been necessary. If I had been as busy as I had anticipated, the growth and the sweet moments I've had just focusing on and being with the Lord and even spending time with family and friends wouldn't have happened.

As I have been bringing myself back to focusing a little bit more on my business I've decided I want to make a few changes in my prices. As a photographer its so easy to look at other rates, and services provided and try and model your business around those; however, everyone needs to do what works for them. I have cut my prices, while leaving some the same, just offering more within the package. I know that photography can be expensive, and honestly, for the time and work that goes into it the prices never match up. However, it's something that I love. I love how people oriented it is. I love the relationships that are built. I love the emotion that is captured during a session, and when my clients view the final products of my work. It's just... sweet. Priceless. I want to give my clients more. I want my clients to feel like their money is going farther, and not only that, I want them to be blessed by what I am offering. And most importantly, I want my clients to know their loved, cherished, and that their best interest is in my mind and on my heart. So here is what I have to offer. This will be my new pricing starting today, and expect to see changes in other products I offer in the future! :)

Community Groups

The Lord has blessed me with such an incredible community of men and women who love Him and seek his face. I help lead a small group at Overflow Church (Indiana Ave. Baptist College Ministry), which is kind of contradictory to call it “small”, because there’s usually 20+ that meet every Tuesday night at The Johnston’s home.

We are beyond blessed to have Tom & Jenny Johnston in our lives, offering their home for us to meet in, cooking us goodies that not every small group would probably have, and investing in our lives and loving each one of us. They have been incredible models for us to see what a Christ centered marriage & family looks like. They have also been incredible models in showing us what the role of a wife, mother, and a woman looks like as well as a husband, father, and Godly man who provides and watches over his family. I am blessed. Beyond blessed

Not only is the community group I’m apart of so lucky to have such an incredible family that allows us to invade their home, but this community- this group of fellow believers, sisters and brothers, bless my life every week. Christ has shown me what operating as the church body looks like through this group. He has shown me what accountability looks like, and has let his love & glory reign. We have a good time, study the word, and seek the Lord on each others behalf. There seems to always be new people coming through the doors every Tuesday night, which I couldn’t be more overjoyed by!! Not only do I love seeing new people flood into the Johnston’s home; I love how fast we become family. Community Groups really holds to its name. We are community, we are accountability, and we are one body with many parts-personalities-and interests. Christ’s hand does amazing things.

This past tuesday night we came together for the first time since Spring Break. We played volleyball and later had a campfire and worship on the back porch. It was such a sweet time! The Lord has shown me how important community is in our walk with Him. How important it is to be around encouraging people who will love you and help you no matter what you’re going through. Get plugged into a church and invest in it. Get plugged into a small group, it doesn’t matter where or what ministry, but God wants to work and does work through community focused on Him! We were created for community, for relationships, and for pursuit of our King!

Feel free to Scroll down and listen to the Video at the bottom while looking through the pictures! :)

Spring Break in Santa Fe

Over spring break Overflow Church took about 40 college students to Santa Fe for 3 days of skiing. We had a great time, despite the fact that people in Santa Fe are lacking tremendously in comparison to Texans on their friendliness. This was discovered when one of the girls that came on our trip was snowboarding with a group of people. Keith Baldridge, our College Minister was one of those. They had been going down some pretty difficult runs and all of the sudden Claire found herself stuck in deep powder, her board no where near her, and completely alone. Her group couldn’t find her so they decided to head back up the mountain and see if they could ski back down and find her. On the lift up, Keith called out Claire’s name. She replied and so as soon as Keith got to the top of the mountain he skied down to where she was. As Keith approached her busted and fell flat on his face. So there Keith and Claire were, trying to get Claire out of the snow and back down the mountain. The man working the ski patrol sees them and starts making comments. He told them “it doesn’t look like yall should be on this run.” The Ski patrol man was watching them struggle as they were trying to get Claire out from the snow. When Keith tells the story he talks about how when he saw Claire in that moment he saw her as his own daughter. After the ski patrol made the comment Keith held out his hand to him and said, “I’ve got this, she’s with me.” Keith stood in the gap between Claire and the nagging ski patrol man.
The reason I wanted to share this incident on my blog, was because of the symbolism it holds to how Christ stands in between the enemy for us. Claire chose to be under Keith’s authority when she signed up for the trip. When she was skiing with him, she chose to be under his watch, his protection and care. And when she was stuck and needed help she chose Keith’s tending to her over the rude ski patrol. Not only did Claire choose Keith, Keith held his hand out and stood up for Claire. He called her by name, came to her rescue, stood in between the gap, and helped her get back on her feet. It’s a beautiful picture of Christ’s love for us. He will fight for us and He will stand in the gap for us, if we choose to submit to His authority and not the world’s. The world nags, discourages, picks and pries at us, but we can overcome!! We are Overcomer’s in Christ’s power and strength. We are loved so deeply by him and he hears our cries and comes to our rescue! What an amazing God we have :)
I had so much fun with everyone that went, and I can’t wait for our next trip together!! Here’s some pictures from our trip!
