Cole & Britt'n Morrison | The Wedding

Britt'n and Cole became Mr. & Mrs. on May 29th, 2011. Britt'n is in my sorority (Pi Beta Phi) at Texas Tech University, and is in my sisters pledge class two years above me. Britt'n is my first sorority sister's wedding to photograph, and it was such a joy and a blessing! I loved being there to capture her special day :). The wedding was in Idalou and the reception was held at the Fraizer Pavilion on Tech Campus. Everything was beautiful! Britt'n hand made the tree that decorated the front of the church and I was just amazed. Britt'n is surrounded by friends and family who love her, and you can tell that Cole absolutely adores her. Britt'n and Cole are living where Cole is stationed in Fort Hood for a few weeks before he is deported. Their wedding day was the Sunday before Memorial day and it was neat to be able to see Cole and his military men be honored and recognized. Prayers and many thanks go out to Cole and all of his military friends who are putting themselves on the line for our country! Each of you are a blessing. Britt'n and Cole, may God bless your marriage and increase your faith daily. Enjoy your time in Fort Hood & enjoy your honeymoon!!

Here are a few (out of many incredible images) that are from Betsy's perspective :)

Rob & Kate Holcomb

I am so excited to share images from Rob Holcomb & Kate (Riebel) Holcomb's wedding with you!  On May 21st, 2011 Kate became Mrs. Holcomb at Saint Luke's Methodist Church on 46th and Memphis. Kate contacted me in the fall interested in me photographing her wedding. Instantly, I knew that I was going to LOVE Kate. She is sweet, funny, and sooo laid back. If you have ever wandered if shooting weddings is nerve racking, I can tell you that the answer to that question is, yes. I started second shooting for Betsy Lackey fall of 2009. Up until Kate's wedding I have only done one other wedding on my own. So lets just say leading up to this day I was super excited and my nerves were pretty high! However, I couldn't have been any more blessed than to work with Kate. She was so ensuring and trusting that she gave me the freedom and air to be creative and just enjoy what I love to do. It's the best when a bride becomes a friend, and I think that's what I loved most about this day. Kate was not only my client, but my friend who blessed me more than she may ever know. I loved spending the day with her and capturing that beautiful smile! (The best bride is always a smiling bride)- I was also blessed to have my favorite photographer by my side. Betsy came along and captured the day with me as my second shooter! If your thinking, "I bet that was fun!" Then, you're right! It was a blast :). I hope you enjoy the images from Mr. & Mrs. Holcombs wedding. Kate and Rob, may the Lord always remain the heartbeat of your love for one another, and may he bless your marriage with happiness and a love that deepens every day.

 Kate & Rob's Sneak Peek!

Kate was a Chi-Omega at Texas Tech and worked for Chi-O after she graduated. At the reception her sorority sisters circled up and sang. It was a sweet moment to see women of all ages gather together to celebrate their sister's marriage to Rob.

Rob's dad gave a toast to the newlyweds!

Before Rob & Kate were announced at the reception, we took a few pictures outside around the Underwood.

The incredible Betsy Lackey with photo.by.betsy joined me to photograph Rob & Kate's wedding. These are a few of my favorites from her perspective of the day. :)

All of the flower girls sat against the wall, it was absolutely precious.

This wedding was beautiful in every way & Christ's love and joy was evident throughout the day.
